Parents of young athletes play an instrumental role in their fueling and athletic development.
I am in the process of developing a course for parents to learn about the nutrient needs of their athletes, easy and convenient ways to provide adequate fuel for their athletes, and ways to adapt meals and snacks to work for the whole family!
Beginning with an initial assessment, Rachel will get to know an athlete, their diet, and their training. From there, Rachel will meet an athlete for 4 follow-up visits over the next three months to work through the basics of building a fueling foundation and individualized adjustments to the athlete's fueling strategy.

OLIVIA, COLLEGE TRACK ATHLETE
Individual sessions are conducted through a HIPPA-compliant virtual platform called Healthie. Athletes can register for a free account, download the free app for use on their phone and access messaging capabilities, virtual video calls, reminders of goals and more!
The initial assessment is a 60-minute video call reviewing the athlete's intake forms and getting to know a baseline of the athletes current lifestyle, training, and diet.
Follow-up sessions are 30-minute video calls
I am located in downtown Chicago and am willing to travel anywhere in the Chicagoland area for team talks and organization partnerships.
I am also available for virtual presentations and partnerships.
Currently, Onward Performance Nutrition is not taking insurance due to difficulty of coverage for sports nutrition by insurance companies. This may change in the future!

I believe that while supplements are not essential to athletic performance, they can sometimes be a helpful tool to optimize an athlete's diet and recovery.
This being said, when working with young athletes, I educate athletes on the safe and prudent usage of dietary supplements.
For athletes under the age of 18, I encourage athletes to discuss with their guardian before considering or implementing any dietary supplement.
